Our Story...

Her Story

I grew up in here in Iowa. I have always thought I would travel and never live in the states. After high school I attended Creighton University where I majored in Economics and International studies.  Through a program at Creighton I had the opportunity to study abroad. After spending a year in Edinburg Scotland and traveling throughout Europe I knew traveling was for me! After graduation I decided to seek a career in Japan. I quickly was offered a teaching position in Kobe, Japan so I packed up and moved abroad.  One year turned into seven years, and in 2011 I moved back to the US.  I ran into Jon shortly after moving back.  Having met him years ago made our encounter much more comfortable. Oddly enough I kept running into him at the gym, which if you know either of us is hard to believe, through extensive persuasion I finally gave in and we went on our first date.  The rest as they say is history.

His Story

A long, long time ago in a land not too far away two people decided to get married and have a baby; 40+ years later they are still regretting their decision. Jon L. Osborne was born in Omaha NE at Methodist hospital on July 3rd 1972 just after 9am (yep that long ago) to parents Larry and Judy Osborne. I was a pretty average kid. I loved to go fishing with my Grandpa, liked riding bikes, motorcycles, go-carts, you know anything FAST! I played Football, and ran Track at Bellevue West high school. I went to UNO and joined Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity where I was lucky enough to make several lifelong friends. I didn’t realize a chance meeting about 16 years ago at Lake Manawa Beach would change my life forever. Little did I know I just met my future wife and best friend.
